The confirmed multiplayer direction is cooperative survival, not an announced PvP or MMO mode. 1 2
Cooperative Survival, Not an Announced PvP Mode
The multiplayer material consistently points to players surviving together rather than fighting in an announced competitive mode. Early Access is the stated destination for online co-op, but the current store and test status do not make it playable today. PvP, MMO structure, matchmaking, dedicated servers, host ownership, and progression transfer remain outside the confirmed feature set and should not be inferred from the word multiplayer alone. 3 4
