A useful opening route starts with short supply trips, dependable water, shelter, food, and treatment items. The beginner guide connects those steps; the individual guides explain the cooking, wound-care, map, and base decisions behind them.
Build context matters. Demonstrated beta actions are labeled separately from October's announced foraging, pan-cooking, and minor-illness remedies. New medicine announcements do not confirm a Black Death cure, and older instructions are not guarantees for a later build.
Playing with friends is a different question from surviving your first hour. Online co-op is confirmed for Early Access launch, but player caps, crossplay, and final host/save rules are not specified in the checked notices. Use the co-op and test guides for those boundaries.
